PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for surely taking over the control of an external device such as a USB device from a BIOS to an operating system. SOLUTION: The information processor 10 includes a main body 11; connection ports 31 to 34 which is provided in the main body and to/from which the external device 100 is freely attached/detached; and a processor system 111 for executing a BIOS and an operating system. When executing the BIOS, the processor 111 detects the presence/absence of the mounting of the external device 100 in the connection ports, and when the prescribed external device 100 is mounted, the processor 111 continues legacy processing, and reads and starts the operating system, and when the prescribed external device 100 is not mounted, the processor 111 terminates the legacy processing, and reads and starts the operating system.
