AIR CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having high operational reliability, and superior in economic efficiency, by surely performing switching operation of four-way valves, in a constitution having a plurality of outdoor units juxtaposed with a plurality of four-way valves. SOLUTION: This air conditioner 10 has the first outdoor unit 1 having a compressor 32, an outdoor heat exchanger 36, an outdoor refrigerant passage and the plurality of four-way valves 34 and 35, a second outdoor unit 2 having the same structure as the first outdoor unit 1, an indoor unit 7 having an indoor heat exchanger 71 and an indoor refrigerant passage, and control parts (a unit control part 49 of the respective outdoor units 1 and 2 and a system control part 8) for controlling operation of both the compressors 32 and the four-way valves 34 and 35 of the first outdoor unit 1 and the second outdoor unit 2. The control parts 49 and 8 synchronously control both the compressors 32 of the first outdoor unit 1 and the second outdoor unit 2 and/or both the four-way valves 34 and 35 of the first outdoor unit 1 and the second outdoor unit 2.
