VACUUM CLEANER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner allowing a dust collection part to be easily taken out of a cleaner body and to be easily attached to the cleaner body, and further, to provide a vacuum cleaner permitting smoother take-out of the dust collection part in such a way as operatively connected to the opening motion of an outer lid. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner comprises the cleaner body having a dust collection chamber and an electric blower; the dust collection part detachably attached to the dust collection chamber to collect dust sucked by a suction air current of the electric blower; and the openable/closable outer lid to open/close the dust collection chamber. The vacuum cleaner further is characterized by including a raising means for electrically raising the dust collection part within the dust collection chamber, a lid detecting means for detecting opening or closing of the outer lid, and a control means for controlling the raising means to perform the raising operation if the lid detecting means detects the opening of the outer lid and when a prescribed time elapses thereafter.
