Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress "sounding" during electric field application in a state where a multilayer ceramic capacitor is mounted on a substrate. SOLUTION: An active portion 37 which contributes to electrostatic capacity formation by the opposition of internal electrodes 27 and 28 of a capacitor body 29 is sectioned into a first region 40 and a second region 41 on the side of a substrate 22 which are distributed along a stacking direction, the dielectric constant of a dielectric ceramic layer 25 in the second region 41 is made lower than the dielectric constant of a dielectric ceramic layer 24 in the first region 40, and the ratio of the volume of the internal electrodes 27 and 28 to the volume of the dielectric ceramic layer 25 in the second region 41 is made higher than the ratio of the volume of the internal electrodes 27 and 28 to the volume of the dielectric ceramic layer 24 in the first region 40.
