PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and easily adjust a display part to a desired height. SOLUTION: The display device 100 includes: a display part 102 having a display screen 102 for display of image information; and a pedestal part 104 which supports the display part so as to stand it up and includes an elevating mechanism for elevating the display part in an approximately perpendicular direction. The display device 100 includes: an input coordinate detection means 130 for detecting coordinates input by an operation means 117, a height detection means 116 for detecting the height at which the operation means is placed, and a control means 140 for driving and controlling the elevating mechanism so as to elevate the display part on the basis of the height of the operation means detected by the height detection means. In this case, the operation means is an operation member provided with a light emitting means 117b emitting light, and the height detection means detects the height of the operation means on the basis of light emitted by the light emitting means.
