IMAGE PICKUP APPARATUS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup apparatus in which an image pickup lens system can be attached to an image pickup element with excellent positional precision even in the case where a part of the effective pixel area of the image pickup element is covered by an aperture. SOLUTION: The image pickup apparatus 1 includes: a lens holder 21 that has the aperture 26 for holding an image pickup lens system 31; a sensor chip 11 that converts light passed through the image pickup lens system 31 to an electric signal; and a marker 18a which positions the lens holder 21. The lens holder 21 is designed so as to cover a part of the effective pixel area 12 of the sensor chip 11 through the aperture 26. In addition, at least a part of the marker 18a is disposed in the position where it can be viewed through the aperture 26 of the lens holder 21 and outside the effective pixel area 12.
