ELECTRIC MOTOR WITH DECELERATING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor with a decelerating mechanism improving reliability on water pouring while maintaining smooth breathing. SOLUTION: The electric motor with the decelerating mechanism has a cylindrical member 38 communicating on the inside and the outside of a gear case 34 and a water-pouring preventive wall 39 having a specified length so as to surround the periphery of an external cylinder section 38b and being formed at a specified height towards a mounting bracket 37. The height size of the water-pouring preventive wall 39 is made to differ in the longitudinal direction of the water-pouring preventive wall 39. Consequently, infiltration into the gear case 34 of rainwater or the like can be suppressed by the cylindrical member 38 and the water-pouring preventive wall 39 while an opening size between the water-pouring preventive wall 39 and the mounting bracket 37 is made to differ, so that the formation of a water screen between both wall 39 and bracket 37 can be inhibited.
