RECEIVING DEVICE, AND RECEIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient four-stage receiving method and a receiving device which track a window timing of a chip equalizer. SOLUTION: The receiving method includes steps of: creating a delay profile from a received signal and selecting a useful delay path satisfying predetermined criteria from the created delay profile; detecting a maximum output chip equalizing window from the delay profile; deciding whether the power level of a predetermined chip equalizing window is a predetermined value or not and selecting either a rake mode or a chip equalizing mode according to the decision result; checking a path in the chip equalizing window and eliminating a noise-mixed path or a weak output path; and adjusting the timing of a first path to that of a main path.
