READER-WRITER FOR STORAGE MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader-writer for a storage medium capable of selecting easily and quickly service to be used. SOLUTION: This reader-writer for the storage medium is provided with: a storage part 160 for storing respective pieces 161-163 of service information, while correlated with a moving direction of a noncontact IC card 1 when the noncontact IC card 1 is located within a range communicable with a loop antenna 111; a detecting part 150 for detecting the moving direction of the noncontact IC card 1 when the noncontact IC card 1 is located within the range communicable with the loop antenna 111; and a control part 170 for reading and writing an electronic money balance of the noncontact IC card 1 via the antenna 111, based on the piece of service information corresponding to the moving direction detected by the detecting part 150 out of the respective pieces 161-163 of service information in the storage part 160, if the moving direction of the noncontact IC card 1 is detected by the detecting part 150, when the noncontact IC card 1 is located within the range communicable with the loop antenna 111.
