SOLUTION: In this roller 1 with the retainer for incorporation into the eccentric shaft, the roller with the retainer is incorporated into the eccentric shaft and includes the ring-shaped retainer 2 having pockets 4 formed in a plurality of circumferential portions and a plurality of needle rollers 6 retained in the pockets 4 of the retainer 2. Enlarged roller clearance parts 7 with clearances between adjacent rollers formed larger than the other parts are provided in two mutually opposed circumferential parts on the diameter of the retainer in roller arrangement of circumferentially-arranged rollers 6.
