Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dark metallic member in which micropores are formed on the surface of a metal stock, thus light made incident on the micropores is diffusely reflected and/or absorbed, and the appearance of the metal surface is made gray to black. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the dark metallic member in which the surface is provided with micropores with the average diameter of ≤1 μm by ≥1×105pieces/mm2on the average, and light made incident on the micropores is diffusely reflected and/or absorbed. The blackening treatment method for a metallic member comprises an electrolytic treatment process where the metallic member is subjected to electrolytic treatment in an aqueous solution in which an electrolyte is dissolved so as to form micropores with the average diameter of ≤1 μm by ≥1×105pieces/mm2on the average on the surface of the metallic member.
