Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method by which a desalting polycondensation reaction is stably and efficiently carried out, a polymer having desired molecular weight is obtained, a molded molecular sieve reduces a load on filtration to reduce processing time or operation work in the filtration for removing a salt by-produced by the desalting polycondensation reaction or a raw material catalyst. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a polymer includes a step of carrying out the desalting polycondensation reaction, wherein the desalting polycondensation reaction step uses the molded molecular sieve having a shape to satisfy 1≤(major axis)/(minor axis)≤3.
