TRAFFIC INFORMATION COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic information communication system for eliminating the increase in the load of the communication processing of a center. SOLUTION: In this traffic information communication system 1, both vehicles are respectively provided with an road-vehicle communication means for communicating traffic information between a center and both vehicles; a retrieval means for retrieving route information to a set destination; and an inter-vehicle communication means for communicating the route information between the vehicles. The inter-vehicle communication means of one vehicle transmits its own route information to the inter-vehicle communication means of the other vehicle. The retrieval means of the other vehicle decides that at least a portion of the route information of the one vehicle overlaps with the route information of the other vehicle. When the inter-vehicle communication means of the other vehicle transmits response information to the inter-vehicle communication means of the one vehicle, either the road-vehicle communication means of the one vehicle or the inter-vehicle communication means of the other vehicle transmits the traffic information to the center.
