SUGARCANE HARVESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide mechanism for pushing up the root of a cut sugarcane with a base cutter and surely guiding the sugarcane to a chopping apparatus at a high position. SOLUTION: A sugarcane harvester is designed to grip the root of the sugarcane cut by the base cutter 1 with shredding blades 21a and 21b of the chopping apparatus 2, shred the sugarcane while gripping, drawing in and feeding the sugarcane to the rear and transport the shredded sugarcane obliquely upward toward the rear with a conveyor. In the sugarcane harvester, the chopping apparatus 2 is based on the shredding blades 21a and 21b and the lower end of the rotation plane of the shredding blade 21b on the lower side is arranged at a height not lower than the height at the rear end of the base cutter 1. The lower ends of helical bat lifters 11a and 11b are secured to the outer periphery of the top surface of a rotating disk 15 of the base cutter 1. The lower ends of the bat lifters are the front in the rotative direction and the top ends thereof are the rear in the rotative direction. The pushing up height with the bat lifters is above the rotation shaft 23 on the lower side of the shredding blades 21a and 21b of the chipping apparatus 2 and below the rotation shaft on the upper side.
