Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chill vent which is excellent in gas ventilation with a simple constitution and can prevent the spouting of molten metal. SOLUTION: The chill vent 9 is provided with: a vent part 15 having a pair of inner wall surfaces 15a, 15b which are opposed to each other while bent in waving-shape in a direction orthogonal to a gas flowing direction and are linearly extended from an upstream side to a downstream side; and a chamber part 16 where the molten metal flowing in the vent part 15 is caused to flow and temporarily stayed at the position on the way of the vent part 15.
