HANDRAIL PIPE FIXING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail pipe fixing device which enables an end surface of a handrail pipe to be fixed to a planar fixing object with no space between. SOLUTION: This handrail pipe fixing device comprises the planar fixing object 1 on which a protrusion 3 with a groove 4 and a cylindrical hole 6 is protrusively provided, an angular nut 9 which is fitted into the groove, the handrail pipe 2 which has a circular hole 7 drilled near an end and which is inserted and fitted into the protrusion, and a fixing screw 10 with a circular-cone shaped leading end 11. The center line X of the cylindrical hole is positioned on the side of the protrusion-direction base of the protrusion with respect to the center line Y of the circular hole in the state of making the end surface of the handrail pipe abut on the surface of the fixing object. When the fastening of the fixing screw into the angular nut from the circular hole of the fitted and inserted handrail pipe is started, the circular-cone shaped leading end of the fixing screw is engaged with an edge of the cylindrical hole so as to pull the handrail pipe to the side of the protrusion-direction base of the protrusion. Concurrently with that, the angular nut and the protrusion are expanded to pressure-bond an inner surface of the handrail pipe, so that the handrail pipe can be fixed to the fixing object.
