IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND PAPER DISCHARGE TRAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus facilitating recovery processing, in a slight carrying failure such as undelivered paper sheets and accumulated of paper sheets. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: a carrying means carrying a recording medium on a predetermined carrying path; a detecting means disposed on the carrying path and detecting the recording medium; a controlling means performing a carriage control by the carrying means depending on detection statuses of the recording medium by the detection means; and a housing means disposed to the out of the carrying path and housing the recording medium. The control means makes the carrying means continue the carriage of the recording medium even if the detecting means does not detect the recording medium at predetermined timing, and discharges the recording medium on the carrying path to the housing means.
