PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound output device capable of improving productivity. SOLUTION: This sound output device is provided with a disc recording/reading device, a speaker device 5, and a housing for housing and holding them therein. Support columns 7 supporting either of the disc recording/reading device and the speaker device 5 are erected on the housing. The support column 7 is provided with a columnar part 71 formed integrally with the housing, and a vibration absorbing material 72 interposed between the columnar part 71 and either of the disc recording/reading device and a speaker box 52. Since the vibration absorbing material 72 is formed into a cap-like shape, the vibration absorbing material 72 can be easily attached to the columnar part 71. Since the vibration absorbing material 72 can be attached to the columnar part 71 without using a bolt nut nor a screw, the number of components can be reduced as compared with a conventional one.
