DATA TRANSFER CONTROL DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately achieve even initialization sequence processing, while achieving a bridge function of a parallel ATA (AT attachment) and a serial ATA. SOLUTION: The data transfer control device includes a PATAI/F (parallel AT attachment interface) 10 connected to a PATA bus; an SATAI/F (serial AT attachment interface) 50 connected to an SATA bus; and a sequence controller 30 performing transfer sequence control. The sequence controller 30 includes an initialization sequence management part 34 for performing initialization sequence management for the device 4 of the SATA. The initialization sequence management part 34 performs slave detection processing and self-diagnosis processing after hardware reset when a data transfer control device is set to a master side by a master/slave setting terminal (CSEL), and controls a slave detection signal and a self-diagnosis signal after hardware reset when the data transfer control device is set to a slave side by the master/slave setting terminal.
