Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: a polarization plate 40 subjected to fullback cutting by a conventional milling machine has a multiplicity of parallel grooves 46 consisting of sharp ridges and furrows resulting from cutting of an end face by cutting edge, and microcracks 47 occur from the grooves 46 as starting points by temperature change. SOLUTION: A polarization plate 10 has a polarizer and a couple of transparent polarizer protection films, wherein the couple of transparent polarizer protection films are laminated by being bonded to both surfaces of the polarizer, respectively, through an adhesive layer. The end face of the polarization plate 10 subjected to laser cutting consists of a substantially flat surface having only gentle microundulations 16 because the end face is once melted and then solidified.
