Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine reducing noise produced at low-temperature start. SOLUTION: An engine 10 consists of: an electronic governor mechanism 30; a low-temperature start spark advance mechanism 40; a temperature sensor 60 for detecting temperature of the engine 10; and a controller 50 which controls the electronic governor mechanism 30 and low-temperature start spark advance mechanism 40, and which is connected with the temperature sensor 60. When a detected engine temperature T is lower than a preset temperature Tset at the start of the engine 10 and the low-temperature start spark advance mechanism 40 is actuated, the controller 50 sets the target rotation speed Nt at a prescribed rotation speed (limit idling rotation speed) Nr lower than a rotation speed (high idling rotation speed) Ncsd at the actuation of the low-temperature start spark advance mechanism 40, and higher than idling rotation speed Ni.
