Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hollow particles for white ink for inkjet having excellent characteristics from viewpoints of L*value, adhesiveness, viscosity and sedimentation property, to provide a method for producing the particles and to provide a white ink for inkjet excellent in ink characteristics. SOLUTION: The hollow particles for white ink for inkjet comprises hollow coated particles having 0.1-5.0 μm number-average particle diameter and 13-61% hollow ratio and obtained by forming coat of a copolymer composed of a monomer mixture (B) consisting of 0.5-80 mass% unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer and 20-99.5 mass% other monomers which are copolymerizable therewith onto the surface of hollow substrate particles (A) composed of a highly crosslinked polymer in which a number-average particle diameter is within a range of 0.05-3.0 μm. The hollow coated particles form coat of the copolymer by polymerizing the monomer mixture (B) in the presence of the hollow substrate particles (A) and an emulsifying agent.
