Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet perforating apparatus capable of preventing a protruding portions of the tip of a punch from interfering with an edge of a die and having a superior durability. SOLUTION: In the sheet material perforating apparatus including a fixed die and the punch guided by a punch guide, reciprocated in the axial direction of the punch by a cam pressing a rear-end portion of the punch, and perforating the sheet to be perforated in cooperation with the fixed die, the punch has a rotation preventing means and two protruding portions in two directions at the outer periphery of the tip of the punch, symmetrically-located with respect to the center of the punch axis and projecting in the axial direction of the punch. The direction connecting two tips of the two protruding portions of the punch is composed to be the same direction with the direction of the axis of the cam; in other words, the direction connecting the tips is composed to be intersected with the moving direction of the line of action of pressing force of the cam to the punch.
