Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber illuminator with which an optical design with uniform light quantity is formed on a flat surface formed of a plurality of optical fibers, and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: On the flat surface formed of the plurality of optical fibers by arranging the plurality of optical fibers on an adhesive sheet in parallel to one another and connecting a light source to end portions of the optical fibers, a part of the optical fibers is molten and deformed by pressing a heating means onto the flat surface so as to form a half-mirror surface. An optional design region is formed with the half-mirror surface, and subsequently an optical fiber fixing member is arranged on the flat surface formed of the plurality of optical fibers so as to cover the half-mirror surface, and subsequently the adhesive sheet is removed.
