POINTER STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact pointer structure that is simple, lowers the center of gravity, and restrains the moment of inertia to be small. SOLUTION: This pointer structure is formed into a substantially L shape, and comprises a light-incident section 24 at its base end, an indicating section 25 at its tip, a light-guide member 20 for guiding light coming from a light source 15, a pointer skirt 21 that is coupled to a rotating shaft 19 of a speedometer movement 13 and assembled to the light guide member 20, and a pointer cap 22 stuck to the light guide member 20. The pointer structure is turned on a dial 12 so that the light-incoming section 24, and the tip of the indicating section 25 are positioned on the opposite sides, with respect to the rotating shaft 19. The light-incident section 24 has thick sections 23 at both circumferential ends of the rotating shaft 19. The thick sections 23 are disposed so as to penetrate the pointer skirt 21 on a speedometer movement 13 side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
