SOLUTION: The additive for asphalt is prepared by impregnating staple fibers 3 in a hydrophobized flocculent fibrous material 3a with an additive having affinity with straight asphalt, to afford an impregnated mixture 4, and storing the impregnated mixture 4 in a packaging bag 5 made of a synthetic resin. As a result, the additive facilitates the treatment, makes the working environment good, enables the staple fibers 3 to be dispersed homogeneously by charging the packaging bag 5 storing the impregnated mixture 4 to the straight asphalt under heating, and improves the fluidity resistance, the abrasion resistance and crack resistance.
