PAPER SEPARATING AND FEEDING MECHANISM OF PAPER FEEDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a paper separating performance for separating overlapped paper without damaging the paper to be feeded while avoiding generation of abnormal noise on feeding. SOLUTION: The paper separating and feeding mechanism of the paper feeder consists of a paper feeding roller, a mechanism for rotating the paper feeding roller, a first separating member of which friction coefficient for paper is lower than the friction coefficient of the paper feeding roller for the paper and higher than the friction coefficient of paper for paper and a second separation member arranged on a downstream side of the paper feed roller. In feeding the paper with the paper feeding roller, the sheets of paper overlapped between the paper feeding roller and the first separation member are separated in cooperation with feeding by the paper feeding roller and stopping by the first separation member and a sheet of paper delivered to a downstream side of the paper feeding roller which should be stopped between the paper feeding roller and the first separating member is stopped by the second separation member.
