PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron capable of preventing return wrinkles and capable of effectively ironing clothes. SOLUTION: The iron 1 has an ironing face 2 disposed on the lower surface to iron wrinkles of clothes, etc. and a heater disposed inside to be electrified to heat the ironing face 2. The ironing face 2 has a pointed shape 2d with bow-like rear end edges 2d, 2e1 and 2e2. Accordingly, the pointed shape with the bow-like rear end edges advances, pushing wrinkles of the clothes aside when the iron is returned rearward, so that the iron can prevent return wrinkles without involving wrinkles of the clothes.
