ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE SHIELDING MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR, AND FILTER FOR DISPLAY DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shielding material which has a simple manufacturing process and can be manufactured at low cost and a manufacturing method therefor, and to provide a filter for a display device and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave shielding material 20 is provided with a transparent base 21, a mesh-like metal layer 22, and a metal plating layer 23. When this electromagnetic wave shielding material 20 is to be manufactured, first the transparent base 21 is prepared, many first linear metal layers 22A arranged in one direction are formed on this transparent base 21 through mask vapor deposition. Then, many second linear metal layers 22B, arranged in other directions different from the one direction, are formed on the transparent base 21 through mask vapor deposition, and the mesh-like metal layer 22 is formed of these first linear metal layers 22A and the second linear metal layers 22B.
