SMOKE SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke sensor capable of preventing an erroneous report by smoke detection except actual fire and preventing omission of removing a cover body to be attached for the purpose. SOLUTION: The smoke sensor A is constituted by providing: a smoke sensing chamber 13 in which a smoke indraft 13a is formed and which has a smoke detection means 2 for detecting smoke inside; a control means 1 for discriminating the fire on the basis of a detection signal of the smoke detection means; the cover body 20 covered to the smoke sensing chamber for blocking the smoke indraft; and a cover body mounting part 4 to which the cover body is attachably/detachbly mounted, and ringing a fire alarm according to discrimination results of the fire by the control means, is provided with: an information means 3 for outputting a removal request signal for prompting removal of the cover body; and a cover body detection means 8 mounted on the cover body mounting part for detecting presence/absence of mounting of the cover body, wherein the control means makes the information means output the removal request signal after the cover body detection means detects presence of mounting of the cover body and when the state continues for preset standby time.
