FLYWHEEL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flywheel device capable of restricting impact force to be applied to an engine output shaft. SOLUTION: This flywheel device 1 comprises a disk portion 2, a wheel portion3, a mass body 4 and an attachment/detachment mechanism 5 for attaching/detaching the mass body 4 to/from the wheel portion 3. The wheel portion 3 has a wheel main body 3a and a mass body housing part 3b formed with an annular space 8. The mass body 4 is formed of a plurality of rotating rings 10,... arranged inside of the annular space 8 in the radial direction of the disk and respectively having a slit 24. The attachment/detachment mechanism 5 has a pushing means for pushing the rotating rings 10,... inward in the radial direction of the disk, and the pushing means 12 pushes the rotating rings 10,... in the radial direction of the disk so as to engage the mass body 4 with the wheel portion 3, and on the other hand, centrifugal force generated with rotation of the wheel portion 3 weakens the force of the pushing means 12 for pushing the rotating rings 10,... in the radial direction of the disk so as to detach the mass body 4 from the wheel portion 3.
