STEERING REACTION FORCE ADDITION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering reaction force adding device capable of generating good steering feeling by utilizing friction. SOLUTION: The steering reaction force adding device 10 comprises a drum 11 coupled to a steering wheel of a vehicle so as to integrally rotate, a band-shaped member 12 having a friction portion 12a wrapped around the outer periphery 11b of the drum 11 and a pair of pull-out portions 12b continuing to both sides of the friction portion 12a and pulled out from the outer periphery 11b of the drum 11, a holding tool 13 which is a band-shaped member holding means holding the pair of pull-out portions 12b while tension is acted, a tension adjusting mechanism 14 pressing a contact 14a against the pull-out portions 12b by using a coil spring 14b, and a displacement producing mechanism 20 converting rotating movement generated by rotating operation of the steering wheel 1 into the displacement of the coil spring 14b in the same direction as the contact 14a.
