PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal performing opening operation with ease by smoothly rotating a first casing and a second casing around a rotation axis. SOLUTION: The portable terminal 10 includes: a lower casing 11 equipped with an operation part; an upper casing 12 equipped with a display part; and a coupling part for coupling rotatably the lower casing 11 and the upper casing 12. In the portable terminal 10, the coupling part is coupled with the lower casing 11 to be rotated with respect to the lower casing 11 around a first rotation axis 31, and a first protruded part 14 is formed on a side surface of an end part of the coupling part where the coupling part is coupled in the lower casing 11.
