AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission, which can be made compact in the axial direction in spite of a structure in which two clutches having clutch drums opened in the same direction are disposed on a shaft-like member. SOLUTION: A clutch drum 22 of a clutch C-1 is disposed so that a hollow shaft part 22d is fitted onto a minor diameter part 53b of a boss part 53A of a pump cover 53, and formed to have a folded part 22A folded in the front of a major diameter part 53c of the boss part 53A of the pump cover 53. A clutch drum 32 is disposed so that a hollow shaft part 32c is fitted onto a bush b2 disposed on the outer diameter side of the folded part 22A and onto the major diameter part 53c. According to this, the inner circumferential part of the clutch drum 22 and the inner circumferential part of the clutch drum 32 can be disposed to be overlapped in the axial direction while setting both the drums to different diameters, and be brought close to each other without particularly retaining the gap clearance between the bush b2 and a hydraulic pressure supply part H.
