Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce nitrogen oxides and emitted substance of soot from a diesel engine at the same time, in the area of a diesel engine, for protecting the environment. SOLUTION: The device removes soot particles from exhaust gas of the diesel engine. The device comprises: a deep-bed particulate filter coated by catalyst coating for oxidizing nitrogen monoxide into nitrogen dioxide; and a second particulate filer having filtration efficiency exceeding 95%, and disposed downstream of the deep-bed particulate filter.
