POROUS BRICK AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous brick having water-absorbing, water-retaining and pumping properties together with freeze damage resistance, and its production method. SOLUTION: The porous brick comprises continuous pores with the pumping property by capillarity and spherical pores with 50-700 μm diameter, which are formed in its structure, and has 0.5-0.9 saturation coefficient. The brick is produced by molding and burning a mixture of a fibrous continuous pore-forming material to form the continuous pore having the pumping property by capillarity in the structure through decomposition at a temperature lower than that at burning, a spherical pore-forming material to form the spherical pore with 50-700 μm diameter in the structure through decomposition at a temperature lower than that at burning, and raw material soil.
