Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating a hydrogen storage material, which is used for recovering the performance of the hydrogen storage material which performance is deteriorated due to cycles of hydrogen release/hydrogen absorption. SOLUTION: A first method for regenerating the hydrogen storage material having a nano-complex of Mg(NH2)2with LiH comprises a step of milling the hydrogen storage material, which is used in predetermined cycles of hydrogen release/hydrogen absorption, in a non-oxidizing atmosphere to restore it substantially to the hydrogen storage material just after manufactured. A second method for regenerating the hydrogen storage material comprises the steps of: heating the hydrogen storage material, which is used in predetermined cycles of hydrogen release/hydrogen absorption, to the predetermined temperature in a NH3gas atmosphere; holding the heated hydrogen storage material for a predetermined time; and milling the heat-treated hydrogen storage material in the non-oxidizing atmosphere to restore it substantially to the hydrogen storage material just after manufactured. A third method for regenerating the hydrogen storage material comprises a step of milling the hydrogen storage material, which is used in predetermined cycles of hydrogen release/hydrogen absorption, in the NH3gas atmosphere to restore it substantially to the hydrogen storage material just after manufactured.
