Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication instrument, simplified in operation upon preparation for transmission and reception of short-distance communication, control method of the communication instrument and a communication system. SOLUTION: A portable terminal 100 transmits a remote control signal for setting infrared ray waiting condition to a portable terminal 101 and another portable terminal 101, received the remote control signal, is set at the infrared ray waiting condition automatically and, thereafter, informs to the portable terminal 100 that the infrared ray waiting condition is finished.
