PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a capacitor which easily secures desired electrostatic capacity; a method of manufacturing the same; and a capacitor unit. SOLUTION: The present invention has a configuration which can manufacture a capacitor 1A comprising a first electrode layer 9, conductive first convex sections 14a layered on a surface of the first electrode layer 9, a first dielectric layer 6 formed on a surface of the first convex sections 14a and a surface of the first electrode layer 9, and a second electrode layer 7 formed so as to be superimposed on the first convex sections 14a and the first electrode layer 9 via the first dielectric layer 6.
