PHOTODETECTOR WITH FUNCTION OF DARK CURRENT CORRECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photodetector having a function of correcting the factor affecting signal that is contributed in the last place by dark current and thereby having a wide dynamic range. SOLUTION: The photodector includes a substrate having a first photodiode, a second photodiode, a third photodiode, a first color filter layer and a second color filter layer. The first, second and third photodiodes each generate output signal of each photodiode, and the output signal of the each photodiode indicates intensity of the light incident to the photodiode and the dark current irrelevant to the intensity of the light. While the first color filer layer and the second color filter layer are located over the first photodiode and the second photodiode respectively, a layer having both the first and second color filter layers is located over the third photodiode. An output circuit provides a first correction output signal by combining the output signal of the first photodiode and the output signal of the third photodiode, and also provides a second correction output signal by combining the output signal of the second photodiode and the output signal of the third photodiode.
