DEVICE FOR DISPLAYING FUEL RESIDUAL AMOUNT OF VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for displaying fuel residual amount of a vehicle capable of suppressing careless determination of a failure by a vehicle traveling state or the like, and performing proper failure determination regardless of the vehicle traveling state, when performing failure diagnosis of a fuel level sensor. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a fuel tank 2 for storing a supply fuel to an engine G; a fuel level sensor 4 for measuring a fuel residual amount; a fuel gage 6 for displaying a measured value by the fuel level sensor; a sensor abnormality detection means for detecting an abnormality state of the fuel level sensor; a fuel consumption detection means for detecting the fuel consumption; and a failure determination means for determining that the fuel level sensor is failed, if a detection value of the fuel consumption from the point of an abnormality detection time exceeds a prescribed threshold, when the sensor abnormality detection means detects the abnormality state of the fuel level sensor.
