Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital adaptive interference cancellation repeater for varying a step size in accordance with characteristics of a signal to be received. SOLUTION: The method for reducing loop interference is provided in a direct relay type repeater using the same frequency for transmission and reception. A transmission side signal is delayed, fed back through an adaptive filter to an input side, and subtracted from an input signal. The step size applied for updating the adaptive filter coefficient is made variable in accordance with characteristics of a received signal (the bandwidth or size of a received signal), thereby adjusting an updating capability in accordance with a channel environment.
