NETWORK FILE SYSTEM AND NETWORK FILE SYSTEM RESTORATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow data to be synchronized without stopping a file system even when replacing a faulty node to restore the file system. SOLUTION: A network file system is provided with a plurality of file servers multiplexed via a network, and each file server includes a synchronizing means which synchronizes data in a storage means for file servers wherein faults have occurred and data in a storage means for file servers wherein faults don't occur in online. A client includes an error information transmission means which transmits error information for failure in writing to each file server during data synchronization in the synchronizing means, and the network file system includes a restoration agent which instructs the synchronizing means to perform data synchronization again on the basis of received error information.
