FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE-FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic induction heating fixing device which makes a temperature distribution sufficiently uniform in the width direction of a heat-emitting member, which is heated by an excitation coil, without making the device itself large in size and heavy in weight; and to provide an image-forming device. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic induction heating fixing device includes: a heat-emitting member having a heat-emitting layer 20b; and an excitation coil 25 which is wound so that it may face the heat-emitting member and heats the heat-emitting layer 20b by electromagnetic induction. The excitation coil 25 includes: a rectilinear part 25a which renearly extends in the width direction of the heat-emitting member; and a bended part 25b which is bent to connect the end part of the rectilinear part 25a. Then, the layer thickness of an end part H2 in the width direction of the heat-emitting layer 20b is determined according to a positional relation in the width direction between the end part H2 in the width direction of the heat-emitting layer 20b and the bended part 25b.
