Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the position of a target device in a high-frequency network by maintaining a probabilistic model on several sample points indicating the predicted distribution of a signal value at a certain position. SOLUTION: The target device observes a signal value OS and, at this time, a series of the observation values and each position compose an indirect Markov model. A graph G models the topology of a positioning environment. The graph indicates a plurality of nodes, namely positions allowed in the environment, and a plurality of arcs, namely position transitions allowed between two nodes.
