PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker capable of easily performing an operation for selecting a desired item from a plurality of display items without increasing a size of a display means and decreasing a size of displayed characters. SOLUTION: When a prescribed time period has passed from the selection of the display item 83 from the plurality of display items 82, 83, 84, item information 85 is displayed in a state of being superposed to the selected display item 83 and unselected other display items 82, 84. Thus, an area for displaying the item information 85 can be enlarged without preparing an area for displaying the item information 85 on the liquid crystal display unit 80, which improves visibility of the item information 85. Further, the item information includes detailed explanation relating to the selected display item 83 as indication information 88, and the item information 85 and the selected display item 83 are related to each other by call-out 86.
