PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output device or the like capable of taking out printed matter without damaging the printed matter, and protecting the printed matter. SOLUTION: The printed matter delivered from a printer delivery port 320 of a printer 310 is held on a receiving bar 324 installed obliquely with a moderate inclination from the rear surface of a stock part 321 toward the bottom part of a printed matter takeout port 209. A fall preventing plate 322 is installed at the printed matter takeout port 209. The fall preventing plate 322 is triangular and sized not to get in the way of taking out the printed matter held on the receiving bar 324. Further, an openable/closable colored plastic plate of dark color such as brown, black, blue, green or red is installed at the front face of a lower stage part of the image output device 101.
