SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SETTLING CHARGE USING COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with money-payment procedure by a user and clerical work processing in a store, to prevent the generation of account receivables and further simplify authentication processing of the user. SOLUTION: A unique user ID is adopted to the user in the system, and this user ID is stored in a user database installed in a bank server in association with an account number. When a purchase request is sent to a store server from the user, the user database is accessed based on the user ID and a password code from the store server to identify the user. When the user is identified, a corresponding account number is retrieved from the user database based on the user ID, and a charge payment request is sent to the bank server. The bank server carries out the charge withdrawing processing from an account corresponding to this account number transmitted with the charge payment request and informs the store server of the request source of the performance result.
