Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a driver from feeling such a sense of discomfort with regard to drivability that shifting is suddenly performed at a low speed rotation because upshifting of the automatic transmission is frequently performed, in a shift control device of an automatic transmission which limits an engine rotational speed upper limit value to an engine limit rotational speed lower than a normal value and which changes a shift schedule so that the automatic transmission connected to and driven by an engine has a tendency to select a higher gear stage (shift stage) than when the engine rotational speed upper limit value is not limited. SOLUTION: While limiting the rotational speed upper limit value of the engine 1 to the engine limit rotational speed lower than the normal upper limit value, the shift schedule is changed to a shifting line 1 or a shifting line 2 based on the engine limit rotational speed (corresponding to VL1, VL2 or the like) so that the engine rotational speed may be lower than the engine limit rotational speed (corresponding to VL1, VL2 or other values).
