METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING COLUMNAR IMPROVED BODY IN GROUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a columnar ground body in which slurry 28 is uniformly poured as a whole. SOLUTION: There is provided a method of constructing a columnar improved body in the ground. According to the method, by rotating an excavation drill 18 having a cutting tool 20 and an agitating blade 22 mounted on a portion near a lower edge thereof, the ground is vertically excavated downward by the cutting tool 20 to finely crush earth and at the same time the slurry made of a cement-based hardener is poured via the lower edge of the excavation drill 18 into the ground, followed by agitating and mixing the earth and the slurry by the agitating blade 22. Herein, in the method, a relationship between a total pour of the slurry and an excavated depth is compared with an adequate value during the excavation. If the total pour of the slurry is insufficient for the excavated depth, the excavation is temporarily terminated, and the excavation drill 18 is ascended/descended to agitate the slurry while the slurry is supplemented, followed by re-starting the excavation.
